Reaching the ending of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is rather simple. All players have to do is help Senua on her harrowing journey through Viking hell to save her departed lover’s soul. However, there is another ending, considered the “true” ending, that players can unlock with a bit of dedication. Follow this guide to find out how to unlock the true ending in Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice.

Unlocking Hellblade's true ending requires finding all of the hidden Lorestones.

The key to getting the true ending in Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice involves finding all of the game’s hidden collectibles. In Hellblade, players will come across various Lorestones as they make their way through each area. To unlock the true ending in Hellblade, players must find all 44 Lorestones hidden throughout the world.

The Lorestones provide narrative details that expand the game’s story. Finding every Lorestone in Hellblade will not only initiate the true ending cutscene at the end, but doing so will also unlock the “Stories of the North” trophy/achievement.

Forty-four Lorestones are a lot to find on your own. We’ve got a guide that explains where to find each Lorestone location in Hellbade if you need a nudge in the right direction.

The true ending cutscene will trigger just before you head into the final boss fight. We can’t tell you much more beyond that without risking spoilers, but if you collected all 44 Lorestones then you should be on track to unlock Hellblade’s true ending. If you’re playing through Hellblade a second time on PS4 to get the true ending, keep in mind that it’s possible to unlock two Platinum Hellblade trophies as well.
